Do I need a sunbed lotion?
Dry skin will naturally reflect UV rays, so it is always advised to use a sunbed lotion during a sunbed session to maximise the results of your session. Sunbed tanning lotions also contain specific ingredients, such as L-Tyrosine, that stimulate the production of tanning cells and encourage these melanocytes to the skin surface. Dry skin also sheds more quickly, so hydrated and moisturised skin will ensure the UV rays are absorbed deeper into the skin which means you achieve a longer-lasting deeper tan.

What are pure sunbed lotions?
These tanning lotions, also referred to as accelerators and maximisers, are products that our formulated with ingredients, such as L-Tyrosine, Beta-Carotene, Hemp Seed Oil and Shea Butter, that intensify the UV light to accelerate the tanning process and typically contain high levels of moisturisation. They are ideal for beginners and help achieve a good base without the use of bronzers or tingle ingredients.
What are tingle sunbed lotions?
Tingle lotions are perfect for sunbed users who want to take their tan to the next level. These lotions open up the pores of the skin and encourage blood flow to come to the surface, oxidising your tanning cells in the process to boost the effect of the UV rays. Tingle lotions are excellent for getting results, but we do not recommend them for beginners, or for anyone with sensitive skin, as they have a reddening and tingling effect on the skin. What are bronzer sunbed lotions?
Bronzer lotions are a very popular option as they are designed to enhance your tanning potential, but they include an instant boost of self-tan to give an immediate result from your sunbed session. They typically include active self-tan ingredients such as dihydroxyacetone (DHA) to encourage a deep tan that continues to develop after your session, however some bronzers will just contain cosmetic guides that give that instant glow without staining the skin.
What are tingle/bronzer sunbed lotions?
Tingle/Bronzer sunbed lotions are simply lotions that has the combined dual benefit of a tingle cream and a bronzer. Tingle creams encourage blood to come to the surface of your skin to boost your tanning and bronzers have DHA to add that extra bit of colour.
